Nuestro servicio de Perforación Secundaria comprende la Reducción de Bolones y el Desquinche.
Se conoce por Reducción de Bolones a las perforaciones de corta longitud y menor diámetro, usualmente no más de 3’’, que tiene lugar sobre los bolones (o rocas de mayor tamaño) para permitir el uso de explosivos y, por una parte, lograr fragmentaciones adecuadas de dichos bolones para el carguío y chancado una vez tronados, y, por la otra, evitar carga mal estibada durante el transporte o el rodado cuesta abajo cuando los bolones están en bancos superiores.
El Desquinche son las perforaciones de menor diámetro y con inclinaciones aproximadamente horizontales, que se realizan sobre una cara de banco en la que el precorte no tuvo efecto y en la que tampoco fue posible lograr la pared de diseño una vez finalizado el carguío del material. En la práctica, habitualmente se requiere Desquinche en zonas donde se unen dos fases de explotación.
